Ventura, CA

What Are Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a titanium post that’s surgically placed into your jawbone, acting as an artificial tooth root. Over a few months, it fuses with the bone in a process called osseointegration — creating a foundation as strong and stable as a natural tooth. Once healed, a custom-made crown is attached on top, matched precisely to the color, shape, and size of your surrounding teeth. The result is a replacement tooth that looks completely natural and functions just like the real thing — letting you eat, speak, and smile with full confidence.
Unlike dentures or bridges, implants don’t rely on neighboring teeth for support and they help preserve your jawbone, preventing the facial sagging that often comes with long-term tooth loss.

The Three Parts of a Dental Implant
The Crown
A custom porcelain or zirconia crown, color-matched to your natural teeth. This is the visible part that looks and acts like a real tooth.
The Abutment
A small connector piece that attaches the crown securely to the implant post, sitting right at the gumline.
The Implant Post
A biocompatible titanium screw placed into the jawbone. It fuses with bone over time, becoming a permanent, stable root.

Most healthy adults missing one or more teeth are good candidates. Here’s what we look for during your free consultation.
Are You a Candidate for Implants?

Managed chronic conditions
Diabetes or other conditions don't automatically rule you out — if well-managed, implants are often still possible.

Sufficient jawbone density
We use 3D imaging to check bone levels. If bone loss has occurred, a bone graft can rebuild the foundation needed.

Good general health
Implants require healthy gums and adequate healing capacity. Most healthy adults qualify with no issue.

Missing one or more teeth
Whether it's a single tooth or several, implants can replace any number — including a full arch with All-on-4.
Dental Implant FAQs
Are dental implants painful?
Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. Local anesthesia is used, and any post-treatment soreness is usually manageable.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care and regular dental checkups, dental implants can last for many years and often for a lifetime.
How long does the implant process take?
The treatment timeline varies depending on each patient. In most cases, the process takes several months from placement to final restoration.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most adults with healthy gums and sufficient jawbone are good candidates. A consultation and examination can determine the best treatment plan.
Do dental implants look like natural teeth?
Yes. Dental implants are designed to match the shape, size, and color of your natural teeth, providing a natural-looking smile.
